ROCKY CORTES & SON ORCHESTRE - DANCE TIME (1963)

Rocky Cortes was born in Paris in 1937. At the same time as studies of chemistry, he learned clarinet, percussions, harmony and composition. According to the note on the back sleeve, Rocky Cortes Orchestra was one of the best European modern dance ensemble. Touring in Paris, Bruxelles, Beyrouth, Athènes to animate galas dinners and fashionables casinos.

CACA / CARTOUCH - SPLIT (2002)

This split 7" with Caca & Cartouch was out in 2002 on Mayo Records, "the total DIY label with home made sleeves." All the label's products were coloured vinyls, sometimes in accord with the packaging. For example the Oursonik/Tragic Vilnius split 7" was a brown wax wrapped in a sleeve made with toilet paper. Check the label's website to see (and to listen) the rest of Mayo Records productions. No informations concerning the bands, Caca (means poo-poo in french baby talk) plays a song by Cartouch and vice versa. According to the handwritten note on the front cover we are in presence of two psychedelic texan bands, but i have doubts about that ! More infos welcome...

SOLEIL 5 - TÉLÉPHONE SONNE (1971?)

I find this 7' on a flea market a few years ago, and I've got a problem to fix a date on it. I spent time searching for informations about Soleil 5, results are very poor. Four singles are listed on several databases. According to this one, La Moto is the first single of the band and was out in 1972, but if you run one's eye over that one, it was out in 1973. There's another undated single here. Now, have a look at my scan, the ex-owner write down "71" on the sleeve... More infos welcome !
